Golf Program
The Golf Program began in 2000. For the first 10 years Darren Cole and Peter Brown had important roles in the Program and can take credit for most of its achievements in that time.
Rob Nicholls took over as Head Coach this year, with the support of Jeff Chignell as his Program Manager.
The Academy's Program will remain focused on younger golfers with potential for future State junior team selection. Hence the program will continue with its emphasis on technical skills and the drills and practices necessary to optimise them.
The Academy's program has been based at the Sale and Yallourn Golf Clubs and the generous support of their Committees and Club members are appreciated. However, training and skills days are also provided at a number of other golf courses to broaden golfers' skills and experience.
We are also grateful for the support and endorsement of the Victorian Golf Association and Women’s Golf Victoria since the Program's inception.
