Squash Program
The Academy's Squash Program is now in its fifth year, having commenced in June 2004.
The Victorian Squash Federation's support has been invaluable in developing the program, and in its growing success. When established, the Gippsland Academy's program was intended as an experimental model for similar programs in other regional academies. The results have been a credit to those involved, with the squad members achieving great success. Our three local coaches have subsequently been appointed to VIS coaching roles.

In the squash program, coaches endeavour to develop and balance all the components of fitness and performance. They are assisted by a number of specialist coaches, such as in strength and conditioning, where supplementary programs may be provided.
In 2008, the squad is a mix of returning players and talented new ones. Currently, 5 of our players have Victorian rankings, and we look to these experienced athletes to provide support and leadership to the newcomers.
