The February Junior Gippstar Award Winner is Molly Cargill of Traralgon for her sport of Swimming Molly competed at the 2019 Victorian Country Championships at Warragul over the Australia Day long weekend. Molly competed in 10 events and made finals in all 10 events. Molly won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in all the age events. The other 5 events were open events and Molly finished top 8 in all of them. Well done Molly!

The February Open Gippstar Award winner is 15 yo Renae Jones of Lakes Entrance for her sport of Shooting. Renae competed at the Sydney Cup which is a round of the (NSO) Shooting Australia’s Performance Series where she took out the Bronze medal. Renae qualified sixth place into the final in the ISSF Women’s trap event at the Sydney Cup it was only her second open womens final in her career. Renae shot 17/25 single barrel trap at the first point of elimination to place herself well in contention. Continuing to shoot well in the following 15 targets she claimed the bronze medal.
