Chair Person

Clay Target Shooting, Gymnastics

Jim is the current Chair of the GSA board after retiring from the EO position of the GSA in 2018. Jim was previously in Executive roles with Federation Training. Jim is currently on the Advisory panel for Gymnastics, CTS and on the Finance Committee

Ms Amelia Evison

Deputy Chair

GippSport, Program Coordinator. Leading Sport and Recreation Victoria and VicHealth funded programs, in the Baw Baw & Latrobe City municipalities. Amelia has a keen interest in snow sports and netball.

Mr Shane Paynter

Treasurer

Shane is the Coordinator Recreation for Baw Baw Shire and is a graduate of the Gippsland Community Leadership Program 2018. Sport has played and continues to play a significant role in his life both personally and professionally. He is the G.S.A Treasurer and is on the Finance Sub Committee.

Mr Howard Williams

Volleyball

Howard has a teaching background and a history of fostering children’s fitness and sporting achievement. He is trained in governance and associated with volleyball in many roles. Mr Darrell White

Tennis

Board Chairman 1997-2012. Darrell has a long association with tennis and football as player and administrator, now with lawn bowls. He continues to share his experience on the GSA Tennis Advisory Panel. Darrell is Chair of the Gippstar Panel and well known as Councillor with Latrobe City Council since 1997

Mrs Diane Blackwood

ISH

Chair 2013 – 2018. Diane commenced with GRSA after her Gippsland Community Leadership Program (GCLP) year (1998), requiring commitment to on-going community service. A Life member of the Traralgon Swimming Club and Mayor of Baw Baw Shire 2011 & 2012, Diane resides in Warragul and represents the West Gippsland/Baw Baw area.

Ms Sandra Timmer-Arends

Netball

Sandra is Head of Sport, Traralgon Campus at St Pauls Grammar School in Traralgon. Sandra has an interest in Netball and represents the Board on the Netball Advisory Panel. Sandra is also active on the Programs Sub Committee.
