Mr Jacob Gruis

Jacob resides in Yinnar with his wife and two young daughters. A lifelong advocate for sport in Gippsland, Jacob has contributed to the region’s sporting community as a player, coach, and administrator. He is a life member of the Latrobe Valley Volleyball Association, where he has been an active committee member since 2006, including serving as committee president from 2018 to 2022.

Jacob has also represented the Latrobe Valley region as a player and coach in state volleyball competitions for nearly 20 years and coached various Junior Victorian representative sides. Professionally, Jacob brings over two decades of experience in business management and leadership. He currently serves as the Senior Procurement Specialist at TAFE Gippsland and has recently completed a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with the Australian Institute of Business.
