Following the success of the 2017 program, Gippsland Sports Academy will again partner with renowned international coaches, Olympic Gold Medalist Russell Mark, and 3-time Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Lauryn Mark from Go Shooting for the 2018 GSA Clay Target Shooting program.
Students offered a place in the squad will be required to attend 6 coaching days in 2018, and 2 non-shooting days.
Talent Identification dates ( Students must attend a minimum of 3 Talent Identification dates):
- 10 September – Bairnsdale Clay Target Club **
- 24 September – Korumburra Gun Club
- 8 October – Bairnsdale Clay Target Club (Note – BCTC monthly competition on 7th October – 25 tgt Ball Trap, 75tgt double barrel) **
- 22 October – Korumburra Gun Club
** we will attempt to facilitate early start for FGA members wishing to shoot Bairnsdale FGA event if required
10am registration for a 10.30am start. There will be discussion/briefing sessions for parents at first two sessions. Cost for the day will be $10.00 per discipline including targets and BBQ lunch – own ammunition required. You must be a resident of Gippsland to be selected into the program generally between the ages of 12-19 at the commencement of the talent identification rounds.
Rankings will be based on total score from best 3 of 4 rounds (best 75 of 100 targets) – see selection details below.
Costs to participate in the program for those successful in gaining selection are being finalised and will be detailed in parent briefings on Talent Identification days.

(2017 format was two full weekends and 2 single days between March & August.)
